EMEA Distribution Conference

In 1986, two years after Axis was founded, we invited our distributors for our first ever conference in Copenhagen, close to our Swedish headquarters.
Since then, it has been our tradition to meet on a regular basis and update you on our strategy as well as reflect together on the changes happening in our market and in the world around us.
It has now been 5 years since we last met in Marbella, and we are thrilled to welcome you again in Spain to reflect on the past and discuss what the future can hold for all of us.

The event

If you are joining for the first time, here is what you can expect:

Keynotes and panel discussions on the future of technology, market trends and supply chain reinvention; all areas we can expect to drive transformation and business growth.

Break out discussions where in smaller groups, we can consider important topics together and where you can share the vision you have for our business and the opportunities you see both now and in the future.

Activities where you can interact with more than 40 Axis business leaders and technology experts, as well as with your counterparts from other distributors from all over EMEA.

Entertaining evenings to enjoy the Spanish way of life and discover delicacies from Catalonia.

This event

We know that attending this event, means taking time away from your daily responsibilities and teams. And we understand the commitment you make in spending this time out of your business.

From our side, our drive is to ensure that this event is not just a meeting where we exchange information but more of a community gathering where we share ideas and thoughts. We want you to understand and feel just how much we value our partnership. And that through open and transparent discussions, we will return to our businesses with new ideas and learnings to implement in the months and years ahead.

For these reasons, we have decided to call our conference ”Mucho Más” so you know you can expect more from your partnership with Axis.

We’re looking forward to you joining us in Sitges and experience it.

Agenda

You can download our overall conference agenda here.
Your personal schedule will be available in our event application.

Flight booking

Our conference will take place in Sitges, a seaside town located south of Barcelona airport (30min drive from the airport).
Axis will organize your transfer from and to the airport. All we need is your detailed flight information and mobile number in the registration form.

The conference will start on Monday 6th of November with a welcome dinner around 7pm so we recommend you book flights to arrive at Barcelona Airport before 5pm. That way you’ll have plenty of time to check in and unwind after your journey.
Check-in at the hotel is from 3pm. If you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage and explore the town of Sitges.

The conference will end on Wednesday evening with a last dinner and ”fiesta”. Our recommendation is to fly back on Thursday 9th of November at your convenience.
Hotel check out time is 12pm.
If you are interested in visiting Smart City World Expo in Barcelona on Thursday before you leave, we would be happy to welcome you to our booth. A visit to the Expo on the last day might just complete your stay perfectly.

Please register your flight information before the 1st of October so we can organize your stay and transfers.

Our hotel

Our hotel and conference center is the 5* Eurostars Sitges, a calm oasis with an amazing view of the Mediterranean sea.
The hotel is equipped with a gym, spa, and indoor and outdoor pools so you can relax during your free time.
Axis will prebook your room as soon as you secure your registration and update your reservation when you share with us your flight details in the registration form.

Sitges

Sitges is located between the shimmering Mediterranean Sea, a vast national park, and amazing vineyards. This means there is something for everyone there. It is known as the Spanish St. Tropez for its yachting and sailing culture, exquisite restaurants, cobblestoned old town, and rugged coastal hikes.

In the late 19th century, adventurers from Sitges went to Cuba and the Americas to make their fortune. When they returned, they used these new fortunes to build beautiful homes and become patrons of the arts. This new wealth drove the change of Sitges from a traditional fishing village towards the cosmopolitan town that we know today. Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí spent time working in Sitges.

Sitges and Catalonian cuisine embraces a Mediterranean spirit with a healthy selection of unique certified products, and a respect for tradition.
The ”mar i muntanya,” or local surf and turf, is a cuisine of contrasts featuring locally grown fruit and vegetables, amazing seafood, and tasty meats. Other local delicacies include rice from the Ebro Delta, potatoes from Prades, ”fesol” beans from Santa Pau, and hazelnuts from Reus.

The town is situated in the heart of the Penedès region and is famous for cava, a sparkling wine made in the same way as champagne. An easy day trip can be had to the glorious wine regions of Montsant and Priorat, famous for their red wines. In fact, the word Sitges actually means ”silo” in English and it refers to the underground holes used to store wine.
